James (Jamie) Horris, a wounded veteran and entrepreneur, spoke with 100 Entrepreneurs about his transition from the military to cofounding a hops farm and the Dragon Hops Brewery in Northern Virginia. He joined the military right out of high school, assuming that would be his career, and when that didn't happen, he went to college, got an MBA from Johns Hopkins and worked on several entrepreneurial ventures. When they didn't work out, he turned his family's land into a hops farm and built a successful brewery in an old grocery store building. He joined 100 Entrepreneurs to talk about his lessons learned. Here is some of his advice.
